SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) – Entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina will coordinate in case of coronavirus outbreak, FBiH and RS Prime Ministers Fadil Novalić and Radovan Višković said today after a meeting and urged not to spread panic among citizens, because the competent institutions have taken all necessary measures in case of the outbreak of the virus in our country.
FBiH Prime Minister Novalić said there is no room to panic, even when the first case appears.
“The system is working and all the preventative measures are taken. All clinical centers have the necessary isolation facility and cooperate with each other,” Novalić told reporters.
Even if it does occur, he recalls that percentages of deaths do not show dramatic proportions.
Novalić said that entity governments would step in with the necessary resources, to purchase additional equipment, everything will be coordinated with the World Health Organization.
The RS Prime Minister also said that they have agreed on certain plans and activities in case of the coronavirus outbreak, which he said was not excluded, given that the virus is "present" in the BiH neighborhood.
Višković said that the relevant teams had provided all the necessary information at this meeting and that they concluded that necessary measures had been taken to respond appropriately in case of the outbreak.
Representatives of relevant institutions from the RS and the Federation of BiH, RS Ministers of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić and the Federation of BiH Vjekoslav Mandić, the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs and several clinical centers from both entities, as well as from civil protection attended the meeting.
