JAJCE, February 26 (FENA) - A solemn academy was held on Tuesday, February 25, to mark the 30th anniversary of the founding of the municipal organization of the HDZ BiH in Jajce.
In his address, the HDZ BiH president Dragan Čović said that over the past 30 years, this political party has grown into “a party that is the leader of the Croat people in BiH".
"Today, no one can constitute any level of government without the Croat people. This is a position that we must preserve, not to blackmail or trying to block anyone, or to be on one side or the other, whether the Serb or the Bosniak people," Čović said.
"First of all, we care about the Croat people, we care about preserving our homeland, we care about being on the agenda of BiH's Euro-Atlantic integration, because no one except the Croats wants Euro-Atlantic integration," added Čović.
He also referred to the BiH Election Law, pointing out that this is a red line below which the HDZ BiH will not go.
When asked if the FBiH Government would be formed without the adopted new election law, he said that there would be no new convocation of the government because “we do not have a partner who understands the Constitution of BiH and the position of every constituent people, but first and foremost, the smallest, Croat people, so why would we then be a partner to go into power. It is a line which one cannot cross, no matter what political pressure arises before those who lead this country," Čović said.
