Tegeltija and Brnabić: High-level cooperation with Serbia

FENA Press release

LONDON / SARAJEVO, February 24 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija met and talked with Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić in London on ways of improving cooperation between BiH and Serbia.

Evaluating the high level of cooperation with Serbia, he emphasized that trade in goods exceeded two billion euros, the highest level so far.

Brnabić invited Tegeltija in an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Chairman Tegeltija specified that they discussed the completion of the bridge in Bratunac, for which the Council of Ministers of BiH decided at its first session, then the continuation of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway project and further activities related to the implementation of previously agreed projects with Serbia, such as the construction of the Buk-Bijela, Foča and Paunci hydropower plants.

They also discussed "Mini Schengen" initiative, for which the Republika Srpska has already given its consent, and it is necessary to agree on this at the BiH level.

“In addition, I took the opportunity to thank Prime Minister Brnabić and President Aleksandar Vučić for the support Serbia provides to local communities in RS and FBiH, as it is mostly reflected in the construction of local infrastructure, schools, kindergartens and health care facilities, which are the basic prerequisites for a better quality of life for citizens,” Tegeltija pointed out.

He attended the Western Balkans Investment Conference, organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in London, the BiH Council of Ministers announced.
