TUZLA, February 24 (FENA) - Indonesian Ambassador to BiH Amelie Achmad Yani and Rector of the University of Tuzla Nermina Hadžigrahić opened an Indonesian corner at the University of Tuzla today.

This is another confirmation of Indonesia's long-standing cooperation with the University of Tuzla.

“This is a very important day for us because in this way we will bring Indonesia closer to BiH, more specifically Tuzla. From today, students and professors will have the opportunity to see all the artwork presented in this corner, and also through the lectures that will be held, Indonesia will become closer to the people of BiH,” Ambassador Yani said.

She expressed hope that ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically Tuzla and Indonesia, would be even stronger in the future.

“We have already signed the Cooperation Agreement between the University of Tuzla and three Indonesian universities, so that students from Indonesia have already had the opportunity to visit BiH and the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla. I hope that such an exchange will continue and that students and professors of the University of Tuzla will come to universities in Indonesia, with a particular focus on students of the Faculty of Medicine,” announced the Ambassador of Indonesia.

Professor Agung Rai, founder of ARMA University in Bali held the lecture to students.

“My lecture is a presentation of Bali culture. It will actually connect the past and the future. The principles that guide the culture of Bali are that culture must always be alive and what was in the past kept alive. In this way, relationships between the past and the future and also friendship between people should be built. The lectures focus on three principles that apply to the daily life of Bali,” said Professor Agung Rai.

Rector of the University of Tuzla, Professor Nermina Hadžigrahić, expressed her gratitude to friends from Indonesia for bringing part of their rich tradition and cultural heritage to the University.

“We have had the cooperation with Indonesia for a long time primarily thanks to the selfless engagement of Ambassador Amelia Achmad Yani, and today we are cooperating with some of the leading universities in Indonesia. This cooperation involves the exchange of teachers and students. We will discuss this in particular with the Ambassador, as well as the ways to establish this cooperation,” said Rector Hadžigrahić.
