SARAJEVO, February 23 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, is in a visit to the United States of America during which he delivered Friday prayer sermon and led Friday prayer in Phoenix.
“With the will of Allah, our fathers established this community in this beautiful and free country, far from their homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their love of faith and awareness of their Bosnian roots led them strongly in this noble endeavor. Their big concern was how to preserve their religious and national being,” said Kavazović.
He pointed out that Bosniaks in the United States today are free to preserve their tradition and habits they brought from their homeland, for which our ancestors sacrificed their lives.
He said there are great challenges for our community here, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and "we are entering a new phase that, like the previous ones, will require a lot of commitment and renunciation, in order to provide a solid foundation for the spiritual, moral and cultural development'.
On this occasion Rais Kavazović issued a 'Murasela' (a letter of authority) to the mufti of North America Sabahudin ef. Ćeman, which is held at the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix, MINA reports.
