Dodik requests another special session of RSNA to dispute Đukanović’s visit

BANJA LUKA, February 21 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik filed a request today to convene a special session of the RS National Assembly on the activating of the institute of vital interest of the entity in connection to two decisions adopted by the BiH Presidency.

At this new, special session, the deputies should vote on Dodik's statement on proclaiming the Decision on the Acceptance of the Status Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on the activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The decision was reportedly adopted without consensus at the 9th regular session of the BiH Presidency, held on19 February 2020, and was considered by Dodik to be "very detrimental to the vital interests of Republika Srpska".

In the letter, Dodik requested that members of the entity parliament also support his statement on the Conclusion of the BiH Presidency on the Official Visit of the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, to Bosnia and Herzegovina, on March 2 and 3, 2020.

This decision was also adopted without consensus at the 9th regular session of the BiH Presidency, held on 19 February 2020, and Dodik considers it “to be detrimental to the vital interests of Republika Srpska.

Member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik has called on the RS National Assembly to hold a session within 10 days and endorse the two statements by a two-thirds majority.
