GRADAČAC, February 21 (FENA) - One of the largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, TMD Group, laid the foundation stone today for a new motor components factory in Gradačac.

TMD Group CEO Adem Hanić said the future factory would produce parts for a new electric car from Japan's Mitsubishi.

“Production will start at full capacity in June 2021 and we expect that the factory will employ around 100 new workers,” explained Hanić.

FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić attended the ceremony and emphasized that our society needs such facilities because they are the only guarantee that we will continue to live and work here, not leave the country.

“I am pleased, first of all, that a new facility is being opened in the industrial zone where I was working and creating with the businessmen from Gradačac, and additionally that it is happening in my home town,” said Novalić.

He added that new technologies have seriously jeopardized internal combustion engines and that he recently held a meeting with representatives of Volkswagen in Sarajevo on the possibility of producing some of their conventional models in BiH.

Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Denijal Tulumović said that such positive examples from the economy, such as the production of parts for electric vehicles, deserve a lot of attention because they show that young people have a perspective in BiH.
