Rauber Saxer:This is challenging year for Srebrenica, we need to focus on future

SREBRENICA, February 19 (FENA) - Swiss Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Andrea Rauber Saxer met with Mayor of Srebrenica Mladen Grujičić today as part of her visit. Ambassador said that Srebrenica has future "if everyone talks about its future".

She emphasized that Srebrenica and Switzerland have been cooperating through various projects, noting that the municipality has joined a network of municipalities implementing a project to reduce the risk of natural disasters. They also discussed the work of the Center for Mental Health supported by Switzerland.

“We talked about the anniversary that await us this year. This year is going to be a challenging one, and all parties need to be facing the future,” Ambassador Rauber Saxer emphasized.

Mayor Grujičić said he briefed the Ambassador on all projects implemented in the past and those that will be implemented in the coming period.

“Our goal is to maintain a stable situation in Srebrenica. We have stated that this year will be difficult because elections will be held in October, and different events that are likely to contribute to causing some tensions. During this period, we will turn to the implementation of projects, and we should leave high policy to higher levels,” said Grujičić.

He points out that we need to turn to the future and create better conditions for the citizens of Srebrenica.
