BANJA LUKA, February 18 (FENA) - Vice-President the entity of RS, Ramiz Salkić said in a statement to FENA that the conclusions of the RS National Assembly go against the Dayton Peace Agreement, are contrary to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and threaten peace and stability in our country.

"The messages we heard at a special session of the entity parliament from the SNSD President Milorad Dodik are messages that should concern everyone in this country, because they are separatist messages that undoubtedly threaten peace in our country," Salkić warned.

He said that a determined and strong reaction from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from representatives of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is very much needed, first and foremost we need a reaction from the High Representative, who finally has to act until it is late.

The abolition of asymmetric solutions in the constitutions of the entities and the granting of rights to Bosniaks and Croats in this entity, as Serbs have in the entity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have, he said, is the way to solve the problem.

“If Bosniaks and Croats were to have the rights through the Council of Peoples equal to those assigned to constituent peoples through the peoples caucuses in the FBiH, anti-constitutional and discriminatory solutions in the laws in this entity would not have been adopted, that are later appealed to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said the entity's vice president.

The solution, he reiterated, would be in the identical election method and the same powers of the president and vice-president in both entities, as well as the same decision-making powers in the FBiH House of Peoples and the RS Council of Peoples.

“When we achieve equal constitutional solutions, it is certain that the need to file appeals before the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will cease, as the protection required by the Constitutional Court could be achieved through the process of passing laws and bylaws,” explained Salkić.
