MOSTAR, February 12 (FENA) - High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko said in Mostar on Wednesday that the issue of elections for the Mostar City Council should be addressed individually and separately from the rest of “the set of legislation”.
“It is inconceivable that in the 21st century political parties are unable to reach political agreement and compromise.
In this way, they are preventing citizens from electing the government they want. Instead, we have witnessed countless political games and shifting blame on the international community or on some parties for more than a decade,” said Valentin Inzko attending today a solemn academy at Džemal Bijedić University in Mostar.
The result, he added, is that political parties "rule this city without any democratic control."
“It will be difficult to reach an agreement in a package and the international community has a unified position that the issue of Mostar should be resolved separately,” Inzko said.
