PDP requests that RSNA does not allow VAT rate to increase

FENA Dušica Stanojević

BANJA LUKA, February 11 (FENA) – Representatives of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) submitted the initiative to the RS National Assembly requesting the adoption of the declaration on fiscal policy directions that does not allow increase in the VAT rate in BiH and seeking reduction of fiscal levies in RS.

They demand that the entity parliament requests RS representatives in BiH institutions not to allow increase in VAT rates and excise duties on fuel.

“It is high time we decide on the key elements of the economic policy and strategy of economic development of RS,” said PDP President Branislav Borenović at a press conference.

The declaration calls for the fiscal policy of the RS to be based on the lowest taxes, contributions and fees, and calls for a reduction in fiscal and parafiscal levies.

“The administration in RS must be rational, fast, efficient and economical,” he said.

Borenović dismissed as completely unfounded claims in some media that PDP Vice President Jelena Trivić would become member of SDS to be their candidate for Banja Luka mayor.

"Trivić is the pillar of the opposition, together with us" he said.

He reiterated that it was necessary to conduct a ballot scan when vote counting in order to reduce electoral fraud, and to get the results as soon as possible.
