SARAJEVO / TEL AVIV, February 6 (FENA) - Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Cyprus, based in Tel Aviv, Duško Kovačević handed credentials today to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, resigning as the non-resident Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in that country.
Ambassador Kovačević conveyed the greetings of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the President of Cyprus and expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the Republic of Cyprus for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and aspirations for full membership of the European Union. At the same time, Ambassador Kovačević emphasized that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and that during his term he will do everything to strengthen the relations, especially in the area of economy, culture and all other forms of cooperation that are of mutual interest for the two countries.
President Anastasiades stressed that Cyprus will continue to support the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed hope that Ambassador Kovačević's diplomatic mission will contribute to strengthening the very good relations of the two countries, with his full support.
Zenon Apostolou, Honorary Consular of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Cyprus, was also present at the ceremony today, PR Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
