SARAJEVO, February 5 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, today held separate meetings in Sarajevo with Hungarian Ambassador to BiH Krisztian Posa and Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec.
During these two meetings, Minister Radončić informed the guests that BiH will have a new approach in dealing with the migrant crisis and that the security aspect of this problem will be a priority. He therefore asked for assistance of partner countries in equipping and strengthening BiH security agencies.
Ambassador Posa pointed out that in order to strengthen relations and exchange of experience in this area, it would be useful to organize a meeting of the heads of the ministries of BiH and Hungary, which Radončić accepted. During the meeting with Ambassador Posa, they also discussed accelerating procedures for signing several important agreements that would enhance the cooperation of the police agencies of the two countries.
Minister Radončić also informed Ambassador Kavalec on other security challenges, notably the return of BiH citizens from Syria and Iraq, which further burdened the capabilities of intelligence and security agencies.
He stressed that a different approach to EU member states is needed and that more attention should be paid to the security aspect of the crisis. He therefore stressed that the OSCE's cooperation and assistance was extremely important and valuable to the BiH Ministry of Security, the BiH Ministry of Security announced.
