SARAJEVO, January 31 (FENA) - According to the data from the measuring stations from Friday morning, air quality in most cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina has deteriorated again.
The highest pollution index has been registered is in Živinice this morning, where the Air Quality Index was 219 which is very unhealthy for the population.
With people with respiratory illnesses such as asthma, significant increase in symptoms and intensity of the disease is possible. The likelihood of adverse effects on the respiratory organs of the entire population in the area has increased, the Eco-Action campaign warns.
Patients with pulmonary diseases and heart disease, pregnant women, children and the elderly must avoid any activity while staying outside.
The air was also unhealthy and highly polluted this morning in Visoko, Ilijaš, Sarajevo, where the measured air quality indices were 197, 185 and 182 respectively, as well as in Tuzla, Zenica and Lukavac, where the air quality indices were 171, 168 and 163.
