SARAJEVO, January 30 (FENA) - According to data from the measuring stations, air quality in most towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina has deteriorated as of this morning, with Živinice and Zenica being the most polluted, with the Air Quality Index at 172 and 166, meaning it is unhealthy for the population.
The air is also deemed as unhealthy on Thursday morning in Lukavac and Tuzla, where the Air Quality Index was 163 and 161, and in Ilijaš, where the Quality Index was 159.
In such a situation with air quality, the campaign Eco-Action warns of the possible occurrence of increased symptoms and intensity of illness in people with heart and respiratory diseases, such as asthma. Everyone else might start to feel the negative impacts of pollution.
In the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Air Quality Index measured at 7 a.m. this morning was 116 and is deemed unhealthy, especially for vulnerable categories of the population.
