SARAJEVO, January 27 (FENA) - The BiH Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, in cooperation with the Jewish Community in BiH and the Jewish Municipality Sarajevo, is organizing a commemoration service dedicated to January 27 - International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The commemoration will begin at the old Jewish cemetery "Borak" in Kovačići, with laying flowers at the Holocaust Memorial, and then a central commemorative academy will be held at the Sarajevo Jewish Community where the President of the Jewish Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakob Finci address the present. One of the speakers at the Holocaust commemoration and its aftermath will also be Husnija Kamberović.
As part of the commemorative activities the exhibition "The Road to Victory: Historical Sources Testify" has opened at the Novi Hram Gallery, which is open every day except Saturdays, from 2 pm to 6 pm. The exhibition will be open until January 31.
“We invite all citizens who want to honor the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust to join an international campaign to commemorate the innocent victims of the Nazi regime.
What they need to do is take photos with the hashtag #WeRemember and share their photos on their social networks,” it is said in a statement from the Jewish Community in BiH.
