Cvijanović: Recent developments in SP do not endanger ruling majority in RS

BANJA LUKA, January 26 (FENA) - Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Vice President Željka Cvijanović said yesterday in Banja Luka that the latest developments in the Socialist Party (SP) of RS are party issues and have not been discussed at the ruling coalition level in RS.

Cvijanović told reporters that she is convinced that the ruling majority would not be threatened.

“I am sure of that. The ruling majority will not be compromised and that is the most important thing,” she claims.

Cvijanović claims that the SDA is trying to link the appointment of certain persons at the RS level with what is being done at the level of the BiH Council of Ministers, and that is unethical.

“There is no connection between what is happening at the BiH level with what is happening at the entity level, but if they want to agree in this way, then it will be agreed so,” she said commenting the statement of SDA President Bakir Izetbegović that he will not support the SNSD participation in the FBiH executive power.

She added that it depends on the appointment of the SNSD members in the Federation of BiH whether Bosniaks will gain positions in government at the RS level.
