SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - Alma Čolo, Chairperson of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Deputy Chairpersons of the Delegation Borjana Krišto and Snježana Novaković - Bursać, member of the Delegation Edita Djapo and substitute member Saša Magazinović will participate in the first part of the regular annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from 27 to 31 January in Strasbourg.
Members of the BiH PA Delegation to the PACE will participate in the process of electing the PACE President and Vice-President, as well as in the process of appointing members of the PACE Standing Committees.
During the seven-day session, the members will discuss the rule of law, democracy and human rights protection. Among other things, the latest developments in Libya and the Middle East will be discussed, as well as the consequences of these developments for Europe, the situation in Turkey, and the functioning of democratic institutions in Poland.
They will also discuss the protection of freedom of religion in the workplace, the establishment of minimum standards to ensure fair and free elections, and the fight against trafficking in human organs and cells.
As announced, Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili and President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon will address at the session, PR Office of the BiH PA announced.
