BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs - Coronavirus situation being monitored

SARAJEVO, January 24 (FENA) - Members of the International Health Regulations Commission (IHR) have been in daily contact with the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the emergence of the new coronavirus, 2019-n_CoV.

WHO recommendations are timely shared with all levels of health authorities in BiH, said the press release of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs states that, at the first meeting of the IHR Committee on Urgent Cases (held on January 23), the BiH Commission for the Implementation of International Health Regulations was informed that the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China, Japan, Thailand and the Republic of Korea have updated their information showing that 557 cases have been confirmed by the time of the release of this statement.

The Commission for the Implementation of International Health Regulations in BiH is composed of members of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH and the Department of Health and Other Services of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
