BANJA LUKA, January 24 (FENA) – Members of the Socialist Party (SP) in the Republika Srpska National Assembly have asked RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković to dismiss Minister of Mining and Energy Petar Djokić, who is the leader of the Socialist Party.

President of SP caucus Maksim Skoko told reporters that he would send a letter to the entity Prime Minister with the request.

At the session of the caucus, they reached a conclusion that they would continue to act as MPs within the ruling RS coalition.

“It is clear that there is no support for what the party president is doing as minister of mining and energy. Our priority is to preserve the party's reputation, the reputation of the RS institutions and the ministry,” said Skoko.

Both the Chairman of the City Council of the Socialist Party of Banja Luka and MP Goran Selak stated that no individual could be above the party statute or act contrary to the policies advocated by the socialists.
