SARAJEVO, January 23 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the BiH Ministry of Security, adopted a Strategy for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2020 - 2023, whereby BiH authorities define their policies against trafficking in human beings over the next four years, in line with the recommendations of the European Commission.
The overall objective of the Strategy is to ensure a constant, inclusive and sustainable response to trafficking in human beings by strengthening prevention system, prosecuting trafficking offenders, protecting and assisting victims, especially vulnerable groups, by functionally linking and capacity building of all relevant institutions and organizations.
The strategy has five goals: support, prevention, prosecution, victim protection and partnership. Representatives of state, entity and institutions of the Brčko District of BiH participated in its development, PR Office of the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
