SARAJEVO, January 23 (FENA) - President of Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Branislav Borenović met today with Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador Johann Sattler in Banja Luka.
Borenović emphasized that PDP is fully commited to the European path of BiH.
"First of all I think of building efficient institutions based on European values," Borenović said.
He also informed Sattler about PDP's view that economic reforms are not and cannot be an increase in VAT, over-employment in public sector and an increase in the budget of state institutions, as announced by the new BiH Council of Ministers Chairman.
"In addition, I emphasized that the rule of law in BiH is challenged, that the electoral process has been destroyed, and that the new coalition seeks to completely capture institutions and put them under the control of party leaders," Borenović said.
He added that the situation in judiciary is the biggest problem in the country, followed by bad economic situation, an Election Law that allows manipulation, biased public media, insecurity of citizens in institutions, and mass departures. Borenović welcomed the EU's intention to actively engage in supporting the resolution of these problems, PR Office of PDP announced.
