SARAJEVO, January 21 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) has scheduled a regular session on January 22 and 23 to consider, among other things, a letter from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSCE).

It is a letter requesting that the OSCE Mission to BiH be given access to all the materials discussed during the sessions of the HJPC BiH held over the last ten years, it was confirmed to FENA from the OSCE Mission.

As of 2018, the OSCE Mission to BiH has been granted access to all materials from the HJPC sessions.

As FENA learned in the HJPC BiH, the agenda of the two-day regular session also includes priorities for the work of that regulatory body for the first quarter of 2020.

According to the agenda, members of the HJPC should consider the Information of the Committee for Reception, Records and Handling of Corruption Reports in the HJPC BiH.

As planned, the HJPC members will be briefed on meetings with the highest courts in BiH regarding the new ‘e-sentence’ database of the highest courts in BiH.

At the same time, they also should have their say on the work of the Standing Committee on Education and the Judicial Documentation Center for 2019.

The remainder of the agenda relates to the review of the Rulebook on the filing, verification and processing of the financial statements of judges and prosecutors, as well as the evaluation of the performance of judicial office holders for 2019, including the initiating of the process of evaluating the work of chief prosecutors and court presidents whose work is evaluated by the HJPC BiH, with an initiative to change the way in which the speed of court work is assessed.

It is also planned to adopt a list of court efficiency standards, as well as to select representatives to form an expert team to validate the responses to the Questionnaire on Independence and Accountability of the Judiciary (ENCJ), and to adopt a Decision on the amendment of the Decision on the formation of a working group to develop an Alternative Dispute Resolution Strategy.
