SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - Collective contract for employees of civil service, judiciary and public institutions was signed today by authorized representatives of the FBiH Government, cantonal governments and a representative union.
This contract regulates the rights of about 26.000 civil servants of public administration of FBiH on municipal, cantonal and Federation level.
Collective contract is signed by FBiH Minister of Justice Mato Jozić on behalf of Government of FBiH, who emphasized that it should be clear to all in the Federation that only satisfied and honest people working in the administration bodies can contribute to making citizens of the Federation of BiH their priority and at the service of citizens.
“I would like to thank all prime ministers and cantons present today for signing this contract. I think we have found the best solutions within the financial capacities of the Federation and cantons,” said Jozić.
The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has agreed with the Governments of the Sarajevo, Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, Una-Sana, Bosnia-Podrinje, Posavina and Zenica-Doboj Cantons to sign this agreement after two months of negotiations.
Negotiations were conducted with the representative Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and were finalized by giving consent to the text of this collective contract.
“It is very difficult to negotiate such a collective contract because it has to harmonize all regulations from local self-government, cantons to the Federation. That is how we came to this new contract, which did not diminish our previous rights, but expanded certain rights for employees, especially the part related to salaries, benefits and other things that can be regulated by this contract,” said president of Independent Union of Civil Servants of FBiH Samir Kurtović.
