Dženan Memić case - Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović acquitted of charges

SARAJEVO, January 13 (FENA) - The Sarajevo Cantonal Court today acquitted Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović of causing a car accident in which caused the death of a young man, Dženan Memić.

Dženan Memić died in February 2016. Alisa Mutap, his girlfriend was with him when the incident happened in Ilidža’s Grand Alley. As a result of his injuries, the young man died at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo seven days later.

Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović were acquitted in the first instance verdict for this criminal offense, however, the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina quashed the verdict and returned it for retrial.

A hearing was held in the Sarajevo Cantonal Court last Friday in the case against Ljubo and Bekrija Seferović.

Expert witness Vlado Marković in his testimony repeated that the injuries to Dženan Memić's body had been caused by a blunt object.

Marković testified that injuries to the body of the deceased young man could not have been caused by contact between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle.
