Metropolitan Hrizostom: Christmas is call for change and better tomorrow

FENA Nermina Omerbegović

SARAJEVO, January 3 (FENA) - The times and the circumstances we live in are difficult and discouraging, but we do not lose hope and faith in God's help. Better tomorrow is in fact Christmas – a holiday that not only reminds us of this but also invites us to believe and to hope, said Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosna Hrizostom in a traditional Christmas message in Sarajevo today.

He pointed out that Christmas is a universal holiday of every creation and every man, a holiday of love and better times.

Christmas is not just a celebration. Christmas is a call to change, to become better people, richer in faith, stronger in love and hope. Christmas is a spiritual rebirth.

The Metropolitan urged that Christmas should not only be spent as manifestation but also to use this time think about who we are, to reconcile life with Christ.

"Let the bad words and insults we hear on a daily basis come out of our lives, we should not allow our differences to be filled with hatred and intolerance. Merry and blessed Christmas," concluded Metropolitan Hrizostom in his Christmas message.
