SARAJEVO, December 27 (FENA) - President of the People and Justice Party, former Sarajevo Canton Assembly Speaker, Elmedin Konaković, today called for an urgent press conference to announce that Danijela Kristic has assumed this post as of today.
“I am n longer the Chairman of the Assembly. This position has been taken over by Danijela Kristić in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, Article 10, which states that three candidates decide among themselves who will be the Speaker of the Assembly.
She will take care of future work of the assembly. In all possible, legal ways, we will stop all potential attempts of a coup in the Sarajevo Canton,” Konaković said.
Regarding the announced, as Konaković said, illegal dismissal of the Sarajevo canton Government, by the newly formed coalition (SDA, DF and SBB), he says that some processes are taking place in the canton, for which the government would like to know what is actually happening.
He states that the SDA has a completely open procedure for the change of power.
