SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) - A model of the Network of special prosecutors and investigators to combat trafficking in human beings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should speed up the prosecution of these crimes, was presented today at a meeting organized by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the BiH Ministry of Security and US Department of Justice / OPDAT at the US Embassy in BiH.
The Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Gordana Tadić, opened the meeting which was organized within the framework of activities of the reform of coordination mechanisms in the fight against trafficking in human beings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with recommendations for improving the work of BiH law enforcement institutions and agencies.
Representatives of institutions are invited to submit proposals for representatives or contact points from their institutions within the Network.
The activities have been initiated with a view to the noticeable presence of these types of criminal offenses in BiH and the region, as well as new manifestations and ways of committing these offenses, especially in the context of increased illegal migration in BiH, which require timely and coordinated reaction of institutions and agencies for law enforcement.
