SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) - The Democratic Front (DF) believes today's message from an MP in the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, Božo Ljubić, that the HDZ BIH and parties assembled around the Croat People’s Assembly (HNS) need not submit any proposals for ministerial posts to the new FBiH Government until there is amendment to the BiH Election Law, is a fearful attempt to continue the blockade of government formation by the HDZ BiH".
“It is obvious that the HDZ has understood the message of the EU officials that the formation of the government in the FBiH cannot be conditioned by the HDZ's wishes, that is, the Election Law, as it is conceived by the HDZ, and they use Božo Ljubić to continue to defy the European Union and block the political processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” says the DF in the press statement.
The DF points out that it has finally become clear to European officials that the HDZ's demands for changes to the Election Law are an attempt "to sabotage the implementation of the European Commission's Opinion, because their demands are in complete contradiction to European legal standards and European acquis, which needs to be implemented in BiH in line with the EC Opinion."
