SARAJEVO, December 19 (FENA) - The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's 2020 budget in the amount of KM 4.954.392.401 will enter into force after the document is published in the Official Gazette.
The House of Peoples of the FRBiH Parliament has adopted the budget for 2020 after it was adopted yesterday in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH.
Compared to 2019, the adopted budget is higher by 83 percent or KM 2.25 billion, and the main reason for the increase is the integration of the FBiH Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO Institute) into the FBiH budget, whose financial plan for 2020 amounts to about KM 2.4 billion.
Along with the budget of the Federation of BiH for next year, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation adopted amendments to three laws (the Law on the Treasury, the Law on Contributions and the Law on the Budgets in the Federation of BiH), which will enable PIO Institute to lose the status of extra-budgetary fund and gain budgetary institution status.
