GORAŽDE, December 19 (FENA) - The Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec visited the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Goražde (BPC) today.
On this occasion, she met with Prime Minister of the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Aida Obuća, BPC Parliament Speaker Edita Velić, Minister of the Interior Nizama Rišljanin and Minister of Justice, Administration and Labor Relations Nataša Danojlić. The officials discussed human rights protection, education and other topics and put special emphasis on the fight against corruption.
Ambassador Kavalec stated that the OSCE Mission to BiH has excellent cooperation with the Prime Minister and the Government of the BPC Goražde.
"We are very pleased to see that much work is being done here to fight corruption, which will restore citizens' confidence in the work of the BPC Goražde Government. We will continue to support the BPC Government and its anti-corruption team in their fight against corruption. We also discussed other topics such as protection of the human rights of those most vulnerable but also about education, and I am very pleased with the Prime Minister's response and the Government's desire to build a transparent system that will work for the benefit of all citizens. As a woman myself I am very pleased to see that I have come across such a strong team of women. I think this is a model and a good example for the rest of the state. There may be a bit of Finland in BiH and I really had a great visit today," said Ambassador Kavalec.
