SARAJEVO, December 18 (FENA) - Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina Margret Uebber visited today the technical assistance and support team of the German Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) organization at the Blažuj Reception Center near Sarajevo.
THW implements measures to equip Blažuj Reception Center at the orders of German Government. The Federal Government has allocated EUR 660.000 for this purpose.
"I'm glad that THW is in Blažuj to help with their technical expertise and build a center. In doing so, Germany will contribute to adequate accommodation for refugees and migrants in BiH," Ambassador Uebber said during her visit to the reception center.
The measures implemented by THW in Blažuj include supply of water and electricity, installation of toilets, as well as heating and repairs to buildings and roofs.
As announced by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in BiH, the measures are being implemented in close agreement with the competent institutions of BiH, IOM and should be finalized in January.
