MOSTAR, December 16 (FEBA) - New job classification of Aluminij employees, according to which all remaining workers will be paid severance pay and will then be declared redundant, it was confirmed at a session of the Aluminij Supervisory Board which was held today in Mostar.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Aluminij Mostar Zdenko Klepić said that, among other things, the Abraham Group's offer was discussed.
“This offer was related to renting the facilities of Aluminij. We supported the business model regarding the revival and continuation of production, new investments and employments. We have asked for a refinement and amendment of the offer in the part of the legal model of the offer, which, among other things, refers to the deadlines, as well as the amount of rent and legal relation with the present Aluminij in connection with the lease,” said Klepić.
Engineer Emil Ćorić said the Abraham Group's offer for Aluminij’s employees was very acceptable.
The Abraham Group had planned to invest, according to Ćorić, a total of about 550 million euros for the construction of a wind farm and a solar power plant.
“First of all, they would invest about five and a half million KM plus 15 million KM more to buy raw materials, which they would then mix and sell. The plant would function in such a way that Aluminij would rent its entire plant, the Abraham Group would pay a rent to further pay Aluminij's debts, which currently amount to about 400 million KM. The Supervisory Board received the offer, but for some legal reasons did not vote at all. Their explanation is that in the said offer there are parts for which the Committee is not competent because it refers to the Council of Ministers, the Government and they do not want to participate in it,” Ćorić said.
