Customs Service of South Korea is participating in modernization of ITA BiH

BANJA LUKA, December 11 (FENA) - A delegation from the Customs Service of South Korea visited the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA BiH) to conduct a feasibility study on Consultancy project on the modernization of Customs Service. 

They visited customs offices of Gradiška and Banja Luka, as well as Banja Luka Airport, where they were informed with business processes in the Indirect Taxation Authority, as well as with IT customs system.

This project will provide ITA with useful tips on how to improve and modernize its business processes, and will provide ITA with the opportunity to become a beneficiary of other projects supported by the Korean Customs Service, it is said in a statement.

The implementation of the project is scheduled to begin in 2021.

The ITA notes that this visit provided the delegation of the Korean Customs Service with a better insight into the situation, as well as opportunities to improve and modernize the ITA.

The initiative to implement this project is the result of a working visit by Miro Džakula, Director of ITA, to the Korean Customs Service. The final meeting outlined the future activities and next steps that need to be taken to ensure the success of the ITA modernization project.
