BiH and Montenegro to strengthen cooperation at common border crossings

SARAJEVO, December 3 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, today, at an emergency telephone session, established a Proposal for the basis for negotiations and the conclusion of the Annex to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Montenegro on the conduct of border checks at common border crossings.

The reasons for concluding the Annex to the Agreement are the establishment of common border crossings between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, the promotion of joint border control, including roads, ancillary facilities, premises and other facilities necessary for the implementation of joint border controls.

The proposed agreement proposal will be forwarded to the BiH Presidency for further procedure, with the proposal to designate the Minister of Security as a signatory to the Annex on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
