TUZLA, December 2 (FENA) - A "Woman's Power" workshop, aimed at promoting victims' rights, models of rehabilitation, but also alleviating, primarily wartime trauma, was organized today in Tuzla.

About 40 beneficiaries of the services of the association "Woman’s Power" from Tuzla, with family members and with the support of women from the local community, have undergone this educational and therapeutic treatment during the four held workshops so far.

President of this association, Branka Antić-Stauber, believes that there is a very good potential for understanding within the families themselves.

"It has been shown that members of the wider community are the microenvironment for the survivors and all of these individuals are very important in rehabilitation and recovery, as well as the problem of reducing stigma," she explained.

Antić-Stauber stressed that the project is funded by UNFPA and the British Embassy in BiH.

Together, they are implementing a project to help women who are experiencing problems after having suffered various types of violence and abuse.
