Indictment filed against Tadija Mitrović for war crimes in Bratunac area

SARAJEVO, December 2 (FENA) - A prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes has indicted Tadija Mitrović, born in 1952 in Bratunac.

The accused is charged with participating in the persecution of Bosniak civilians and that he committed the killings during a broad and systematic attack by the RS Army (VRS) and police on Bosniak civilians in the Bratunac area and its surroundings.

He is accused of arriving in Glogova armed, together with other VRS members, in May 1992, where he searched for Bosniak civilians in order to murder them, and personally participated in the murder of Bosniak civilians they found near their homes.

The indictment was forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH said.
