THE VATICAN/SARAJEVO, November 27 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović is attending a high-level meeting on "Freedom from Violence: Peace, Security and Conflict Prevention at the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", organized by the Nizami Gandzhavi International Center and the Italian Society for International Organizations, taking place today and tomorrow in Rome, Italy.
On the first day of the event, Pope Francis was received Džaferović and other participants at this high-level meeting in the Vatican, and he also addressed the participants.
Pope Francis welcomed the holding of this event, emphasizing the importance of promoting peace through broadening dialogue and mutual respect.
During his meeting with the BiH Presidency member, Pope Francis emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina holds a special place in his heart.
Džaferović thanked for the support the Vatican, and especially Pope Francis, have provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As part of today's visit to the Vatican, Džaferović also visited the Vatican Archives, which put on display the will of the last Bosnian queen, Katarina Kosača on the occasion of Džaferović’s visit, stated the BiH Presidency.
