BIHAĆ, November 21 (FENA) - Vice President of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society Kerem Kinik visited Bihać and all temporary reception camps for migrants and refugees in this part of BiH, and met with representatives of the Government of the Una-Sana Canton (USC).

"Vučjak camp is really not acceptable and we will highlight this at tomorrow's meetings with representatives of the relevant state institutions in Sarajevo. These people must be relocated to a place where they will be provided with dignified living conditions. We will appeal to everyone in the world to help people there but also Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Kerem Kinik.

He particularly emphasized his gratitude to the locals for their solidarity and selfless involvement in helping migrants and refugees.

The president of the cantonal organization of the Red Cross of the USC, Husein Kličkić, said that equipment for the formation of the camp, as well as footwear and clothing, have been provided.

"The equipment has arrived at the central warehouse in Sarajevo. These are mostly small and large tents, which will be available to us. Now it is not time to form a camp, and according to the decision of the Task Force on the displacement of people from Bira and Miral, in the spring probably that will be necessary. I suppose that in that way we will provide some temporary solutions until the reception camp is completed at one of the locations designated by the state," Kličkić said.

Blankets, clothing and some of the hygiene supplies, provided by Bihać Merhamet and donors from Turkey and Slovakia, were distributed today in Vučjak camp.
