Sinno: EU will not leave BiH to cope with migrant problems on its own

SARAJEVO, November 14 (FENA) - Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno said today that the EU will not leave BiH to cope with migrant problems alone, but that they must have partners in BiH institutions to work with.

He recalled that the EU had already provided funding for reconstruction of alternative reception centers outside the Una-Sana Canton (USC) in order to share this burden.

"We are currently waiting response from BiH institutions, because migrant centers cannot and should not be a problem for the USC alone," Sinno stressed.

Speaking about the increasing statements on terrorism in BiH, Sinno said that there are many migration challenges that the world is currently exposed to, especially in terms of security.

"The better we organize migration flows in Europe, but also in BiH, the better we will be able to deal with these challenges, including security challenges," Sinno concluded.
