SARAJEVO, November 8 (FENA) - More than 300 items on the agenda are awaiting consideration in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, of which 45 are ratifications of international treaties valued at two billion KM, 40 pieces of legislation, more than 60 reports on the work of the BiH institutions and more than 150 audit reports.
MPs in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and leaders of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) and Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), Mirko Šarović and Branislav Borenović, warned about this situation at a press conference today.
Because of this situation, they submitted an initiative to amend the Rules of Procedure to ensure that the working bodies (committees) of the House be finally appointed, in the case six of them, since the highest legislative body in the country is not fully constituted.
They have already received the support of 14 MPs to convene a session to discuss the initiative, but they need 22 deputies to convene the session, which is why they have called on the representatives of the parties that have the largest clubs in the House of Representatives to support them.
The initiative has already been supported by members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Party of Democratic Activity (A-SDA), Our Party and the Democratic Front, and they expressed hope that other members of the House of Representatives would support the initiative, and that a precise date may be known early this week when the session could be held.
