Komšić's Cabinet to invite French Ambassador due to Macron's statements

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, November 7 (FENA) - Cabinet of the BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić announced that he will invite French Ambassador to BiH Guillaume Rousson tomorrow to discuss and clarify the views of French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with The Economist.

As recalled from Komšić's Cabinet, Macron said BiH is a time bomb due to the return of ISIL warriors.

According to media reports, Macron said for The Economist that BiH is "a time bomb that is ticking right next to Croatia."

He added that BiH is facing the problem of jihadist returnees.

“I am convinced that, first, we need to reform our EU membership procedures because they no longer serve a purpose. They are not strategic. They are also not political, but too bureaucratic and irreversible, and you must be able to consider the issue of reversibility at some moments. Second, if you are concerned about this region, the first question is neither North Macedonia nor Albania, but Bosnia and Herzegovina. A timed bomb that sits right next to Croatia and faces the problem of returning jihadists is Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Marcon.
