Lövin: Sweden's support for BiH's European integration is unquestionable

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, November 6 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić spoke with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Environment and Climate of Sweden Isabella Lövin in Sarajevo today.

Zvizdić said the two countries have always had friendly and good bilateral relations. He briefed Minister Lövin on the current political and economic situation in BiH and the region, and informed about BiH's European path and reform processes.

Chairman Zvizdić regretted that initiated reforms are blocked due to the political situation, as this is causing the greatest damage to businessmen, citizens, and especially young people. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs assistance in the areas of waste and wastewater management, as well as air quality. He stressed that idea of disposing Croatia's nuclear waste along the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in a state-protected part, is unacceptable for our country.

Minister Lövin emphasized Sweden's unquestionable support for BiH's European integration. She added that the Kingdom of Sweden has been one of the largest donors to Bosnia and Herzegovina for years and that BiH can still count on Sweden's assistance and support.

Zvizdić expressed his appreciation to the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden and the Swedish people for their continued assistance and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that there is room for enhancing economic co-operation, especially with the involvement of the BiH diaspora living in Sweden, the BiH Council of Ministers stated.
