SARAJEVO, November 5 (FENA) - The Union for Sustainable Return and Integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina has implemented a project "Better socio-economic integration of Regional Housing Program (RHP) returnees in local communities in BiH", which identified the needs of refugees (79 families) living in Serbia, that expressed a wish to return to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Jelena Tambur, the manager of the project, pointed out today at a press conference in Sarajevo that activities within the project included, inter alia, a survey of persons interested in returning to BiH, who currently live in Belgrade and Novi Sad area.

She said that, according to very strict criteria, a total of 79 families, or 173 people, were selected to be housed in places of pre-war residence, or in the area of eight BiH municipalities.

She said it was significant that, at a time when we have trend of BiH citizens leaving, there are those who want to return to their pre-war country of residence.

The project "Better Socio-Economic Integration of RHP Returnees in Local Communities in BiH" is funded by the European Union and implemented with the support of the Center for Regionalism from Novi Sad and the Tuzla Citizens Forum, as part of the regional action 'Help' - Contributing to Access to Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and Employment Opportunities (CARE).
