High-level delegation from Sweden visiting BiH from November 5-7

SARAJEVO, October 30 (FENA) - Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and Sweden's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Environment and Climate, Isabella Lövin, will arrive on a multi-day official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 5 when they will meet with a number of BiH officials.

The protocol of the visit stipulates that the delegation will participate in the work of the climate and innovation conference, and will also visit projects supported by the Swedish Music Academy in Sarajevo and Craft workshop in Konjic, as well as the War Childhood Museum and the National Museum in Sarajevo.

The guests from Sweden are expected to visit Mount Trebević, and they will also meet Swedish-Bosnian entrepreneurs and talk to beneficiaries of Swedish projects from all over the country.

Swedish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johanna Strömquist reminded today that around 80,000 people, who originate from BiH, today live in Sweden, which represents a special link between the two countries, estimating that the announced visit also means deepening of this cooperation.

She noted that Sweden is the third largest bilateral donor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the largest among the EU Member States.

Sweden has earmarked 19 million euros in BiH this year, and since 1995, it has allocated about 465 million euros for development cooperation in BiH.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen already good relations between the two countries, to emphasize strong ties and the potential for continued cooperation for the benefit of all in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim is to highlight the great potential of the country and the main topics of the visit will be climate and environment, innovation and entrepreneurship and greater youth engagement.

Sweden's support is focused on promoting economic integration with the EU and developing a market economy, strengthening democracy, human rights and the rule of law, the environment and reducing the impact of climate change.

The main topics that Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will focus on during their visit will be Sweden's support, namely for the climate and environment, innovation and entrepreneurship, and greater youth engagement.

The high-level delegation from Sweden will stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina until 7 November.
