SARAJEVO, October 30 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Djapo met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH, Johanna Strömquist on the occasion of the upcoming visit of the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and her husband to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"We are honored that the Crown Princess of Sweden, Princess Victoria, has chosen Bosnia and Herzegovina for this visit and I am convinced that we will be good hosts," said Minister Djapo.
The interlocutors also highlighted that the upcoming visit would also be an opportunity for BiH to present Sweden different pictures and send different messages. It is emphasized that public in Sweden is aware that today BiH is a country where global topics such as climate change, environment and democracy are discussed. The Bosnian community in Sweden is well integrated, highly respectable and prosperous, which strengthens ties between the two countries and opens up new opportunities for cooperation.
Minister Djapo thanked the Embassy and the Kingdom of Sweden for their assistance in developing a national environmental strategy. This process has started and is expected to result in adoption in parliamentary procedure.
The adoption of this strategic document is of great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its European path, especially since environmental protection accounts for about one-third of European legislation, PR Office of the FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism announced.
