STRASBOURG, October 25 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Borjana Krišto and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Nikola Špirić, who are attending the European summit of Presidents of Parliament, spoke in Strasbourg with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Liliane Maury Pasquier.
Welcoming the fact that the PA BiH at the highest level was represented at the European summit of Presidents of Parliament of the member states of the Council of Europe, Pasquier urged the members of the leadership of both PA BiH chambers to do their best to elect the PA BiH Delegation to the PACE. The PACE President stressed that the institution headed by her will be available to provide all possible assistance to the PBS BiH in overcoming the problems, as she said that the election of PBS BiH Delegation members to the PACE is in the interest of both BiH and the Council of Europe.
Thanks to the efforts and support of the PACE in seeking to appoint the PBS BiH Delegation, members of the leadership of both PBS BiH Houses have warned that there is a blockade in the appointment of the BiH Council of Ministers Chairman, which results in a lack of full legislative capacity and the selection of standing committees, joint working bodies and delegations in international organizations.
Noting that the blockade in the election of the BiH Council of Ministers and the lack of functioning of the highest legislative institution is detrimental to the interests of all BiH citizens and significantly slows down integration processes and reforms, Krišto and Špirić emphasized that they would do everything necessary to establish the necessary internal dialogue and consensus in BiH. led to the unblocking of the process of government formation, the functioning of the PSBiH and the election of delegation members to international institutions and parliamentary organizations, the PA BiH said.
