SARAJEVO, October 25 (FENA) - The Sarajevo Tourism Festival, the 41st International Tourism, Hospitality, and Tourism Exchange Fair, held at the Skenderija Center, is entering the final stage today.
The festival is an opportunity to introduce new destinations, facilities, accommodation, and tourist products, but also is a great place for networking of local and foreign partners, professions, private and public sectors, the press service of the Festival said.
In the last two days, interesting lectures were held with the participation of tourism experts from the country.
SOS Children's Village will present today educational projects and joint activities of trainees and mentors from the Association of Chefs in BiH. For today, a round table on the topic "Halal Industry as a Tourism Potential" is planned, as well as a presentation of scientific and research works in the field of outdoor tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the closing of the Sarajevo Tourism Festival, which began on Wednesday, the awards "Best Move in Tourism Summer 2019" will be awarded, organized by indikator.ba portal as the final award of a successful 2019 tourist season.
Visitors were able to watch the pastry contest yesterday, which was attended by about 30 teams and individuals from BiH in the categories of festive edible cake, art - inedible cake, carving and butter sculpture.
The theme of this year's event was "Outdoor and Adventure Tourism," which is one of the fastest-growing categories of tourism.
The fair featured around 70 exhibitors - tourist boards, hotels, travel agencies, nature parks, carriers, restaurants, manufacturers, and retailers of catering equipment, business associations, professional magazines from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Turkey.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Tourist Board of the Canton of Sarajevo and the City of Sarajevo.
