SARAJEVO / WASHINGTON, October 20 (FENA) - A delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić, met with Cyril Muller, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, in Washington.
They discussed continuation of cooperation, structural reforms that are important for economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, accompanied by financial assistance, the BiH Council of Ministers stated.
They stressed the importance of building infrastructure, especially transport, energy, utilities and digital, as well as increasing the quality of funds for small and medium-sized enterprises in order to increase their productivity and create jobs in order to prevent youth from leaving the country.
Vice President Muller said that the World Bank will continue to support BiH, especially in health sector reform program, which is the basis for achieving a sustainable health care system and reforms of public enterprises to improve the operability and financial efficiency of enterprises.
Chairman Zvizdić and Vice President Muller agreed that projects of direct impact on citizens' quality of life, as well as projects that will accelerate economic growth and increase employment are among the World Bank's top priorities.
Vice president Muller thanked Chairman Zvizdić for hosting Constituency Meeting in May 2020 in BiH.
Chairman Zvizdić also held meetings with Koen Davidse, the World Bank Group Executive Director, the IMF Executive Director Anthony de Lannoy and the IMF Alternate Executive Director Richard Doornbosch, the BiH Council of Ministers announced.
