BANJA LUKA, October 20 (FENA) - RS President Željka Cvijanović said that she expects the number of employees in public companies to be proportional to needs and that companies do not carry the burden of unnecessary obligations.

"Then you will have better business result," Cvijanović said in a statement to the press, emphasizing that she supports the Government's position that employees should be replaced and call to account, until you find those who know how to do business.

She added that public companies such as “Šuma” and “Elektroprivreda” can achieve good results, but the area of passenger transport in Railways in RS and in other countries is not profitable.

She stressed that public companies should exist as long as there is a chance for that.

“Why would you close public companies, which are an incentive for economic development and society,” said Cvijanović.

She added that certain measures are being implemented in these companies, which are required to fulfill their obligations and be financially disciplined.

"We will replace employees until we have those who know what financial discipline is," the RS President said.
